Safety Guide

Use a comfortable volume, choose a safe environment, and treat every preset as wellness audio—not medical treatment or a guaranteed outcome.

Before you listen

Never trade awareness for audio

Do not listen while driving, cycling in traffic, operating machinery, crossing busy roads, supervising hazards, or during any activity that requires full attention to your surroundings.

Protect your hearing

  • Start at a low volume and increase only to a quiet, comfortable level.
  • Do not raise the volume to force a beat, pulse, relaxation response, or other sensation.
  • Take regular listening breaks, especially during long sessions.
  • Avoid listening through headphones when you already have ear pain, sudden hearing changes, or significant irritation.
  • Follow your device’s headphone-level warnings and hearing-safety settings.

Headphones and stereo

Headphones or earphones are recommended for the intended left-and-right binaural effect. Use well-fitting equipment at a comfortable level. Binaural perception may be reduced or absent with Mono Audio, asymmetric hearing, a single earbud, or some assistive-audio configurations. Never increase volume solely because the effect is subtle.

Stop if you feel unwell

Stop listening and move to a quiet, safe setting if you experience ear pain, ringing, muffled hearing, dizziness, disorientation, nausea, headache, unusual anxiety, agitation, or any other concerning symptom. Seek medical advice if symptoms are severe, persist, or recur.

Sudden hearing loss, severe neurologic symptoms, loss of consciousness, or another emergency requires prompt local emergency care. Do not use the app as an emergency or diagnostic tool.

Health considerations

Ask a qualified health professional before use if you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder, tinnitus, hyperacusis, significant hearing loss, vertigo, a neurologic or psychiatric condition, an implanted hearing device, or any condition that may be affected by repetitive sound. Follow the advice of your clinician and device manufacturer.

Sleep and rest sessions

  • Use sleep-labeled presets only in a safe resting place.
  • Do not rely on the app to treat insomnia or another sleep disorder.
  • Do not rely on continuous playback, a connected audio device, or your phone as the sole means of waking for medication, caregiving, travel, emergencies, or another critical responsibility.
  • Keep the device ventilated and follow the manufacturer’s charging guidance; never place a charging device under a pillow or bedding.

Children and supervised use

A parent or guardian should decide whether the app is appropriate for a child, set a conservative volume, limit listening time, and supervise headphone use. Children may not recognize or report uncomfortable sound exposure promptly.

What the labels mean

Terms such as Focus, Calm, Meditate, Sleep, Deep Sleep, and similar labels describe the intended listening context for a preset. They are not diagnoses, medical claims, measured brain states, or promises that a particular mental or physical result will occur. Responses to binaural audio vary.
